We had a large turn out for July's paint out at Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens, DC, which is known for their lotus gardens.  Fun fact: the lotus come from seeds that have been propagated for over 900 years.  They are magnificent to see.  Standing 6 feet tall or more with large white and pink blooms and giant seedpods that look alien. There are also ponds with water lilies and if you venture far enough, you'll find natural streams and habitats.  Almost everyone chose to set up in the shade, given the hot day that it was.
