April Paint Out in Dupont Circle, Washington DC

April 28, Dupont Circle Washington, DC

A very pleasant morning to be painting at Dupont Circle, mostly cloudy early on but mild with little or no wind. Perhaps the only distraction was an almost continuous rush of police cars and fire engines around the circle and then off to destinations unknown, which lasted for about an hour or so.  Those painting included Bob Thoren and Nancy Wallace and three guests, Mike McSorley , Roderick Turner and Christine Giranli.  Bob Thoren had an interesting spectator watch him paint.  A small dog was across the sidewalk on a park bench and would look out from his carrying case every so often to check on progress (see attached image).  His master slept the whole time.  Everyone finished up painting around 12:30 and then gathered at the fountain for a brief critique.
