We gathered at Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens on a very pleasant day.  The skies were crystal clear and free of humidity which is uncharacteristic for a late June Washington day.  The lotus blossoms were in full bloom and their soft pink blossoms were a perfect complement to the striking blue sky.  7 members and 3 guests set up to paint among the many photographers and visitors enjoying the magnificent blooms.  Our painterly efforts were accompanied by gutteral frog calls and the occasional snapping turtle plunging among the reeds.
Several beautiful paintings were made and a valuable critique was shared.
