The paint out participants gathered on the courthouse lawn early Sunday morning. The sun was shining and most of the painters decided to set up under the large shade trees that surrounded the courthouse fountain. David Diaz was seen heading around the corner looking for an architectural themed subject and guest artist, Leanne Fink found a unique water feature at the Carroll Creek Park to paint. A good number of friendly people were strolling about enjoying the day and inquiring about our painting group.
Half of the painters were members and the others were guests. It was nice to mingle and share ideas about painting during the critique meet up. This town has many beautiful historical homes, store-fronts and churches to pique the interest of the painter.
Members included: Lisa Mitchell, Tara Will, David Diaz and Hai-Ou Hao
Guests who participated: Vicki Blum, Carol Cowie, Leanne Fink and Nancy Fine

An intrepid group of hard core member artists and invitees descended
upon the charming, quaint, authentic village of Clifton VA for the
July 2022 monthly paint-out. The day was overcast, hot and humid. In
attendance were WSLP artists Jill Banks, Web Bryant, Ray Burns, Pattee
Hipschen, Lynn Goldstein and Andrei Kushnir, and invitees Theresa
Miller, and Will Schulze. Web's kind spouse, Lori, took photos of the
artists as they worked at various sites around the scenic hamlet (a
photo of Lynn appears in one with Pattee, Jill and Theresa, attached),
and all artists met at noon at the town park for a critique. The artists
displayed their creations, received helpful and often admiring comments,
answered questions, and enjoyed each others' friendly company. Because
of the threat of rain, the group dispersed immediately after the
critique; however painting at the site was enjoyed by all.
