There were 6 painters at Kenilworth Gardens. Lida Stifel, David Diaz, and Lynn Mehta were the members that painted. There were 4 guests: Theresa Miller, Janice Kirsch, Rajendra KC and Amy Waldrop.
It was a beautiful day and the park was not too crowded. The lilies were only at about 20% in bloom and there were several ponds that were actually quite empty. Maybe there will be more in bloom at the end of July.

Midweek Paint out

On June 15th I hosted a midweek paint out at my house and farm. It was well attended and was a beautiful day. Participants arrived between 9 and 10 and we painted until around 12:30 where we broke for lunch, which I provided. Included were Teresa Miller, HaiOu Hou, Hui Lai Chong, Amy Waldrop (sponsored by Trisha Adams ), Marietje Chamberlain, Jean Schwartz, Lisa Mitchell, Bobbi Pratte, Christine Drewyer, Barry Lindley, Barbara Nuss, and Lida Stifel. We had a short critique led by Barbara.
Everyone had a great time and enjoyed the gardens and views.
HaiOu painted the sheep at our barn and everyone painted views out the back and the gardens. I have been requested to do it again in the fall.

WSLP Paintout 6/18/22 in Federal Hill, Baltimore, sponsored by Crystal Moll as part of her gallery exhibit of WSLP paintings “Color of Light”
It was a rare cool, dry day, even if a brisk breeze chased fair weather clouds across a summer-blue sky. Fans were converging on the stadium for an Orioles game, families and cyclists were enjoying Cherry Hill Park, and along South Charles Street in between city life was vibrantly busy. Plein air painters created scenes of city life, which were put on display from 3:30 to 5:00 for sale, to the accompaniment of guitar music and refreshments. Among the artists were WSLP members Crystal Moll, who captured the street scene outside her gallery, and Mary Kokoski, who painted the light and shadow on the Hanover Street Bridge.

An absolutely beautiful morning to be in Old Town Alexandria painting. Temps in the high seventies and a sky full of fluffy clouds. We met behind the torpedo Factory for a critique at noon.
