Despite the threat of afternoon rain, we were met with pleasant weather for our morning paint out. There was a light wind and overcast sky, but the light was fairly constant, which makes things much easier! Our group was small but mighty, and we enjoyed guest Stewart White's demonstration of the new watercolor easel system he's been using.
Members attending were: Hiu Lai Chong, Mary Pritchard, and Meg Walsh. Jill Banks joined us in spirit, having come to the earlier paint out that was cancelled because of the weather in May.

Sunday's paint out at Sky Meadows State Park in Virginia was well attended - who wouldn't want to paint on such a beautiful late spring day in such a wonderful setting?!. The day started off a little cool and breezy, but warmed up later on this bright, clear day. There were plenty of unique paintings produced from a great group of painters - long awe-inspiring views to close-ups and everything in between including some of the farm animals. Around noon we broke for lunch, a critique, and engaging conversation and camaraderie. Artists in attendance were Jill Banks, Alison Barry, Vicki Blum, Ray Burns, Lynn Mehta, and guests Phoebe Peterson and Vicky Zhou.
