May 25th Arboretum Paint Out

The May’25 WSLP paint out took place at the National Arboretum and we couldn’t have asked for a better day.  Cloudless blue sky, no wind and temperature around 70 deg.  In other words, perfect.  The only downside was we were too late in the spring to catch the azalea garden in bloom.   Oh well, the arboretum offers unlimited painting potential.  We gathered on the patio behind the administration bldg at 12:30 for lunch and critique.

 There were seven participants
Bob Thoren,  Pattee Hipschen, Ray Burns, JoEllen Murphy, Carol Cowie, Catherine Hillis, Vicky Blum

April 25th Annapolis Paint Out

The April’25 WSLP paint out took place in downtown Annapolis, MD.   A beautiful sunny morning was to be had, though initially, somewhat chilly.  The only downside was a fairly stiff persistent breeze throughout the morning. The historic architecture found in Annapolis is second to none and needless-to-say was the theme chosen by each of the five painters. We gathered on the south lawn of the state capitol at noon for critique and lunch.

There were five participants:
WSLP Bob Thoren,  Andrei Kushnir
GUESTS Lynn Lewis, Carol McClees, Freeman Dodsworth
