In spite of the 5-star London fog which veiled the area Saturday night, Sunday March 26, 2023, was a gorgeous Spring day, clear and sunny, with a light cool breeze. Dupont Circle and the farmers’ market were thronged with people celebrating the day, the offerings of the market, and the interesting architecture of the surrounding area. One WSLP member, Barry Lindley, spent the morning painting by the market, and was joined at noon for a brief critique by Rajendra KC, who painted in the afternoon.

The iconic Great Falls National Park was the site for the February 26, 2023 WSLP paint out. The cloudy, cold morning hours gave way to a beautiful, sunny afternoon. This proved to be a challenge as we chased the elements, trying to factor in the atmospheric light - cool blues 9 - 11am vs warm ochres in the last hour as the sun reflected its warming rays on those massive rocks. All in all a great paint day! In attendance Lynn Goldstein, Catherine Hillis, Pattee Hipschen and Bob Thoren, along with guest painters Leanne Fink, Josie Vosoba and Amy Waldrop.
