It was a sunny and brisk fall day for our mid-week paintout in Oxford, MD, a scenic little town known for its boatyards and quaint architecture. Our esteemed President painted three beauties….from the comfort of his car. We were going to meet in the riverfront park for critique but had to take shelter from the wind behind the coffee shop. Attending: Members Bernie Dellario, John Eiseman, Sara Poly, and Meg Walsh. Guests Vicki Blum, Bethanne Cople, Carol Cowie, Chris Rappa, Amy Waldrop, Lori Yates.

Sunday was a gorgeous day at the National Arboretum. There were three WSLP guest painters (John Eiseman, Vicki Blum and Amy Waldrop) and Member, Ted Reed.

Wednesday, September 28th was a beautiful, crisp and breezy fall day with autumn colors just beginning to appear. Five members, Bob Thoren, Lisa Mitchell, Hiu Lai Chong, Jean Schwartz, Jill Banks and candidate Theresa Miller attended. All of us decided to paint next to one of the three ponds on the 25 acre site enjoying the reflections of so much color. We set our paintings up at 1:00 for a critique and commented on the different approaches to the similar scene agreeing that some good work had been done that morning! For those of us who could not attend the Sunday paint out at the National Arboretum this was a great location for the midweek.
