Jean Schwartz and Gray Dodson try to stay warmat Sunday's paint-out!
Eight members and one guest gathered at Dupont Circle in Washington DC to capture what was hoped to be another glorious sunny follow-up day from Saturday. Alas, that was not the case, and although the temps got up to 50 degrees, the wind chill and lack of sun made it feel like early February.
Despite the frigid weather, we all persevered and created several beautiful views of the active Dupont Circle area. We pushed our artistic senses to tease out the nuanced color from the rather gray day. While most artists opted for street scene views radiating away from the central monument, a few of us captured the fountain (without water).
The Krispy Kreme and Panera Bread establishments located close by were safe havens, offering hot soup and coffee... which some of us patronized several times!
We all agreed that this is a location that should be repeated.
