September Paint Out at Frying Pan Park

We enjoyed perfect weather at Frying Pan Park in Fairfax, VA  on a sunny September Sunday.

This place had it all—farm animals, flowers that still had some color, baby pigs and sheep to name a few. It even had a carousel which many of us avoided because of its complexity but Gray Dodson rose to the challenge.

Web Bryant did a black and white sketch of an interesting tree. Robert Thoren painted a scene of a shady area near a barn and was fortunate enough to have a small vehicle park in the area to provide a nice focal point. Ted was able to find a nice composition with a fence forming a nice shadow shape. JoEllen Murphy was attracted to the red structures and Trisha Adams painted a small shed with some flowering bushes.
