October 25, 2009 (Report by Marietje Chamberlain and Photos by Barbara Nuss and Daniel Wise) A warm sunny morning greeted us after a torrential rain the evening before. Most painters grouped along the pond to paint waterscenes while some preferred the marshes, grassy hills, or colorful trees. The views were lovely, with many glorious fall colors, temperized by soft mauves and grays of the grasses. Andrei painted several scenes on one board which led an observer to ask why he painted upside down. Andrei responded .."it is more challenging that way." A challenge was also to find a place to sit, eat lunch and critique the artwork. Next time, folks, bring your own chair. In attendance were Ken Petrie, Andrei Kushnir, Nancy Wallace, Lisa Egeli, Marietje Chamberlain, Al Marra, Mary Kokoski, Mike Heylin, Leonard Justinian, Barbara Nuss, Barbara Piegari, Mimi Hegler, Genevieve Roberts, Richard Whiteley, Bernie Dellario, Meg Walsh, Bill Schmidt and Mark Ingraham. Guests were Hiu Lai Chong and Barry Lindley. |
