Poor Adrienne. What she got for having faith that her newly designated "art sneakers" (formerly her discarded "car accident sneakers") would be put to good use, ended in a $95 parking ticket. And no sign in sight; well, okay, but it was a hundred yards away and behind a limb.

The rest of us arrived at Belle Haven Marina ready to paint, scoping out a sight in our own art sneakers. The weather cooperated with a clear sunny day. Subjects went from sparkling water scenes with far away shores to tightly cropped docked boats and riverside trees. My choice of subject matter promptly got up and sailed away, but then returned repeatedly, (sailboats for rent), so I was able to nail down one of them at least, by painting furiously whenever it came back home.

The group agrees with Adrienne that her resuscitated sneakers should go back into the deep freeze.
